Artist Beatrix Adams knows exactly how she's spending the summer before her senior year. Determined to follow in Leonardo da Vinci’s footsteps, she's ready to tackle the one thing that will give her an advantage in a museum-sponsored scholarship contest: drawing actual cadavers. But when she tries to sneak her way into the hospital’s Willed Body program and misses the last metro train home, she meets a boy who turns her summer plans upside down.

Jack is charming, wildly attractive . . . and possibly one of San Francisco’s most notorious graffiti artists. On midnight buses and city rooftops, Beatrix begins to see who Jack really is—and tries to uncover what he’s hiding that leaves him so wounded. But will these secrets come back to haunt him? Or will the skeletons in Beatrix’s own family’s closet tear them apart?

GUYS, THIS BOOK. The Anatomical Shape of A Heart (aka Night Owls) is that kind of book that you know you're going to love since the moment you read the summary and see the cover. It gave me a lot of feels that I feel like I'm going to explode by the time I finish this. Without comparing to other books, I know that this book will be in my top ten all time favorite list.

So basically, this book is all about arts. If you know me well, you'd know that I'm a sucker for arts thingy. The main character, Beatrix Adams or Bex, is a cadaver artists (she literally drew dead bodies. Like, how cool is that?!). Her mom doesn't want her to do it, but she still doing it anyway, and boy, her drawing are really good! I kinda wish I could draw like her.

Jack, on the other hand, is a graffiti artist. If I only have one word for him, that would be omgheissofreakinsweet (What am I thinking? I couldn't describe him in just one word). Jack may be not perfect--he definitely has his own problems--but he's definitely a sweetheart! My heart always flutter everytime I read about him. I assure you, he will be your next book boyfriends!

After I rant about how amazing the MCs are, it is no surprise that the romance is my favorite thing in this book. Eventhough their friendship is almost immediate, the romance is slow burn! (Heck, they met Bex's parents even before they kissed). And when they do kiss

Not just that, their relationship is honest. They didn't keep secrets and they're truthful to each other. More importantly, they believe on each other. They have that kind of relationship that everybody wants.

Overall, I love everything in this book--the characters, the romance, the feels. Also, have I mentioned that this book features a schizophrenia character and a great family relationship? Well, it is, and that's why you should read it.
